The Marvel universe is constantly expanding, with new versions of characters appearing across the comic books, films, and TV shows.

The latest animated adventure, on Disney Plus, brought us a new look at some classic heroes and villains, one of which being fan favourite and Marvel legend, Tony Stark.

Many familiar faces have appeared in Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, so far, and the latest is Tony Stark, who is looking a lot like his dad.

Fans are thrilled with his appearance, with one saying, “To be totally real, that’s the most Tony Stark that Tony Stark has looked since the 90s.”

We can see that Stark has the classic look, with the little stache and slicked hair, evoking his 1950s style.

His Iron Man armour is clean and devoid of intricate parts, too.

Twitter is abuzz with fans applauding the design, with one saying, “That armour is perfection, Jesus Christ.”

Another fan comments, “I'm in love with the fact that Iron Man no longer look like RDJ.”

The show has been a passion project devoted to older Marvel comic book style, mostly focusing on Jack Kirby’s illustrations, and Stark’s look certainly channels that.

In another Twitter thread, fans are enjoying this throwback design and wishing that the MCU would follow suit.

“I honestly prefer this design to most of the MCU ones,” said one reply.

One Marvel fan commented, “Genuinely perfect Tony and armor design.”

There’s a sense that Marvel looked to Agent Carter and the Howard Stark who appeared there, played by Dominic Cooper, who was both stylish and tough.

If you want to see this Tony Stark in action, alongside other Marvel favourites like Doctor Strange, you’ll have to tune in the latest episode of Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man when it hits Disney Plus.
