In case you weren’t aware, Doctor Doom is the new Sorcerer Supreme for 2025 and this quest for power will make massive waves for Marvel Comics.

Not only has he taken that magical mantle but he’s also going to declare himself emperor of Earth and rule with an iron fist.

Marvel is very busy in and out of comics as they prepare for a chaotic 2025.

A new mini-series is kicking off very soon from writer Ryan North and it will see Doctor Doom taking control of the world after becoming the Sorcerer Supreme.

This whole situation spins out of an event over the summer that saw Stephen Strange hand over the title to Doom when Strange couldn’t battle the vampires plaguing the world.

Doom had to become Sorcerer in order to banish the vampires and Strange saw this as a temporary change.

But, of course, this is Doctor Doom and after he’d helped save the world from vampires, he decided to keep the power and declared, “Doom does nothing halfway. Now let me show you what it means to save the world.”

So now one of the most villainous characters in the world has one of the most devastating powers and he’s going to use it to rule over every living creature.

Enter, Emperor Doom who broadcasts across the globe telling everyone they are now part of an extended Latveria and all will kneel before him, including heroes such as The Avengers.

Marvel Comics vice president and executive editor Tom Brevoort says that this will have far-reaching consequences and that “Doom is going to impact every corner of the universe for 2025”.

Brevoort continues, “He gets to show the world that he’s the greatest at what he does, and that might not be great for people not named Victor Von Doom.”

It’s not an ideal situation for anyone living on Earth-616, but Marvel is going to have everyone talking about Doctor Doom for the next few years.
