Spider-Man is making his return to the screen in a new Disney+ show, and
he’s bringing several other notable characters with him, including Doctor Strange.
Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man will follow Peter Parker as a high school student as he finds his footing in the world of superheroes, and it seems he’ll get a visit from Marvel’s sorcerer supreme.

Marvel Animation brings What If...? to an end with season 3 currently showing on Disney+
As revealed on Twitter, one of the posters for the show features Doctor Strange in his traditional comic book costume designed by Steve Ditko.
The sorcerer appears alongside other famous characters such as Doctor Octopus and Scorpion.

Sadly, it doesn’t appear that Benedict Cumberbatch will voice Doctor Strange in the animation, despite Charlie Cox reprising his role as Daredevil, and alter ego, Matt Murdock.
The new show follows Peter Parker juggling his life, being flat broke, taking care of Aunt May, and, of course, being Spider-Man.
It appears his main adversary will be Green Goblin, played by Colman Domingo, who starts out as a mentor for Parker before becoming the infamous villain we all know and love.
Between the animation style and the young Peter Parker, this iteration harks back to the golden age of comic books and features Spidey in his homemade costume with goggles.

“It is very much like a cut from that Steve Ditko era of the comics,” said head of Marvel TV and Animation, Brad Winderbaum.
He continued, “It’s so essentially Spider-Man, and what Jeff Trammell, the creator of that show, did, which I think people are going to love, is he built this ensemble of characters around Peter that you fall in love with.”
It’s not yet known how Doctor Strange will fit into this world and whether he will be a recurring character, but it’s great to see the sorcerer back in a Marvel show.
