Avengers Doomsday teaser quietly adds 2 X-Men to roster

It's all coming together

The casting news for Avengers DOOMSDAY is heating up as Marvel seemingly add two X-Men to the roster of heroes set to take on Doctor Doom.

According to a known leaker, there are two members of the mutant team to step up and jump into the MCU properly, which will begin the Mutant Saga for Marvel.

2025 is looking stacked for Marvel TV shows on Disney Plus

The leaker, who has commented frequently on the upcoming MCU films, has mentioned that Dafne Keen, who plays X-23 in Logan, will be reprising her role.

This comes as no surprise given her recent appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine and comments on her wanting to play the character again.

The second star reveal comes from industry insider Alex Perez who has commented that Kelsey Grammer will return to play Beast after his previous return in the post-credits sting of The Marvels.

Grammer has said that his return was seen as “pretty overwhelming” and “there are some conversations.”

If this turns out to be true, it could confirm the current theory that Doctor Doom will combine the universes of Earth-616, where the MCU takes place, and Earth-10005 of the X-Men.

Whether both stars stay on to play the roles in the Mutant Saga is up in the air, they could simply appear to usher in the mutants while a new batch of actors takes up the famous roles going forward.

Remember, Kevin Feige confirmed that “the whole story of Secret Wars really leads us into a new age of mutants and of the X-Men.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if these aren’t the only returning X-Men, given how popular the cameos were in Deadpool & Wolverine.

We could possibly see a few more familiar faces signed onto the project over the coming months as this phase of the MCU winds up towards the big Avengers duology event.
