Rumours are currently swirling that a popular actress is being eyed to play Princess Zelda in the live-action movie of The Legend of Zelda.

Everyone will have their opinions on who should step into the iconic role, but industry leaker DanielRPK, whose past predictions occasionally come true, has noted that Hunter Schafer is in the running.

I’ve touched on this in the past when fans were discussing her for the role, believing she has the right look, and I totally agree.

Schafer has even commented on the rumours while on red carpets at film premieres, and now talk is gathering steam, fans are jumping in to comment.

I love this comment on Reddit, that made me laugh, as RipMcStudly said, “Never heard of her (I only watch loud, violent stuff) but going by the first pic I saw on Google? That’s the elfiest damn elf I ever saw.”

“She is f**king sublime,” noted one Redditor.

It isn’t missed that Hunter Schafer is a trans actress, and while many trolls and goblins are hung up on that, others think she’s perfect for the role.

However, that key fact has many doubting that Nintendo would entertain this casting choice, as one Redditor says, “Nintendo doesn't have the balls for this.”

This thought is echoed by lord-spider-boy, who comments, “Nintendo may want to avoid any sort of controversy that could cause from the crybabies.”

Plenty of Nintendo fans think Schafer would be perfect, with one fan replying, “I’m good with it! I think she’ll do a good job.”

“Didn't know her by name, but the first photo Google showed me made me immediately think of Twilight Princess' Zelda,” said Jeff1N.

If Nintendo does opt to go this way with casting, it would be amazing to see, and Schafer’s acting chops are stellar, as she consistently knocks each role out of the park.
