Video game adaptations have never been better. Prime Video’s Fallout has proven that, as did the preceding The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Twisted Metal.
It was arguably HBO’s The Last of Us though that kicked off this new golden age.
Shaking off the adaptation curse, The Last of Us was quickly branded as the greatest game adaptation of all-time, garnering praise from critics and viewers alike.
It’s no surprise that the show secured a second season renewal which is currently in the midst of filming.

We’ve had to wait quite some time for an update on The Last of Us’ second season as last year’s WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes temporarily drew things to a standstill.
Filming is well underway now though, after kicking off in February of this year.
HBO has already announced that season two should land on our screens in 2025 but what if I told you that you could get a sneak preview of Ellie and Dina in action right now?

It’s true. For the most part, The Last of Us’ set has been kept under wraps except for a few photos of Jackson.
Finally though, someone has managed to catch a glimpse of Bella Ramsey back in action as Ellie - although this time as an older and, let’s say, hardened version of the character. If you know, you know.

That’s not all though because Bella was filming with new cast addition Isabela Merced who’ll be bringing the character of Dina to life.
It’s only a small glimpse at what’s to come but seeing these two in costume has put a big smile on my face.
Based on additionally captured set photos, it’s believed that Bella and Isabela are filming the Capital Hill segment of the game.
This falls during Ellie’s Day 1 as the duo journey through downtown in search of clues about the WLF’s whereabouts - a journey that eventually leads them to the TV station.
This is the first time we’ve seen Isabela as Dina. Now I’m wondering when we’re going to get our first glimpse of Kaitlyn Dever as Abby.
