Harry Potter fans believe that they have the perfect Professor Umbridge, and we agree.
Professor Dolores Umbridge is one of the most subtly conniving and manipulative characters in the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and that’s saying something considering all the dastardly characters in the world of Harry Potter.

In 2023, a live-action Harry Potter reboot was announced by HBO, the production company behind the likes of Game of Thrones, Band of Brothers, The Last of Us, and more.
While details on the Harry Potter reboot are quite vague at this time, we at least know that it will once more have a modern setting, which could directly impact Hogwarts Legacy 2.
We also know who’ll be playing Professor Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape. However, roles for Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are yet to be cast, at least publicly.
One other character that hasn't been officially cast is one for the aforementioned Professor Dolores Umbridge but Harry Potter fans believe they have found the perfect actor.
Previously played superbly by Dame Imelda Staunton, fans believe that the new role of Professor Dolores Umbridge should be played by Olivia Colman (CBE) and personally, I can’t think of no one better.
“Olivia Colman as Dolores Umbridge,” said Redditor SanjayKeithAdams. “She’s really good at getting the personality of someone you just wanna Avada Kedavra.”
“I would really like it considering Imelda Staunton ended up playing Elizabeth II after Olivia in The Crown,” replied MAJ_Starman.
“This is actually a great shout,” agreed ImNotHereForFunNoWay. “In most of her roles, she plays a very sweet/likeable person or occasionally down-trodden, troubled... But then I saw her in Fleabag. Man, she can definitely be a horrible cruel bully too.”
“I love this woman so much! She's one of the only actresses I can see living up to the legacy of Imelda Staunton's performance,” exclaimed southernfirefly13.
“She definitely needs to be in the show,” replied MiddleAd458.
There isn't a release date for the Harry Potter TV series just yet but hopefully, it will be revealed at some point this year.
