Star Wars fans unite over DCU's 'perfect' new Wonder Woman

News has broken, coming directly from James Gunn himself, that DC Studios is currently writing a new Wonder Woman film.

This would be another of the big three from DC Comics to land a film in the new DCU, after Superman, with only Batman to follow somewhere down the line.

Of course, a new film means we get to move on from Gal Gadot’s performance, which has been derided over the years, and DC Studios is on the lookout for another actress to take on the role.

Here’s where the fans come in, very eager to put forward their opinion, and in this case they’ve picked the perfect person.

All across social media and Reddit, fans are petitioning for Adria Arjona to be our next Wonder Woman.

The actress has become widely known for her role in Andor, within the Star Wars universe, and she not only has the perfect look, but also the ability to perform action set-pieces, and give a dynamic performance.

After news broke from James Gunn on Twitter, fans were quick to let him know that Arjona should be ahead of the line.

“Adria Arjona is my wonder woman,” said one eager fan.

Another chimed in with, “Adria Arjona as Wonder Woman. I want it. I need it. We want it. We need it. Please, James Gunn.”

I can definitely see this casting choice taking off, and as someone mentioned on Reddit, Arjona is already in the DC sphere dating Jason Momoa who is set to be Lobo within the DCU, so we imagine he’ll be championing this choice.

“JAMES GUNN CAST ADRIA ARJONA AS WONDER WOMAN AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!” exclaims another excited fan.

If the director sees this overwhelming support, he will at least consider he for an audition, so let’s keep up the pressure.
