Just when we thought all hope was lost, Netflix has saved the day once again by revealing that another Cyberpunk 2077 inspired show is in the works.

That’s right, a collaboration between Netflix, CD Projekt Red and Cyberpunk is in the works which means we could soon be seeing another television adaptation based on the futuristic world of Cyberpunk 2077.

Check out the trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners below!

There is no denying that this news comes after the success of 2022’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, a Netflix anime based on the award-winning CD Projekt Red RPG.

Telling the story of a street kid from Night City who tries to survive in a world obsessed with body modification and technology, the anime saw an extra boost to Cyberpunk 2077’s popularity so it is no wonder that Netflix is eager to get into the action once again.

The trailer, which dropped unceremoniously throughout the night, is just a quick 20 second teaser which shows the infamous Netflix logo receiving the Cyberpunk glitch treatment.

“Return to Night City”, the tagline reads, alongside the Cyberpunk logo but not much else is known quite yet.

As you can imagine, fans are speculating as to what the new series could be.

Will it be a Cyberpunk: Edgerunners sequel or another series entirely?

Either way, with Cyberpunk 2077 becoming one of the most-loved RPGs in recent years, there is no denying that millions of fans will be tuning in when it drops in the future.

“Night City is the most unforgettable location in gaming for me,” one comment read.

“Something about Cyberpunk felt so real. The reason I got interested in PC gaming.”

Another said: “Imagine Johnny Silverhand's story with Keanu Reeves as VA, I would love that.”

We may have to wait a while until we receive more information about this project but it is an exciting time for fans of Cyberpunk 2077.
