When gamers love a franchise so deeply, it’s difficult not to worry about any and all gameplay features.

Up until recently, news about The Witcher 4 has been sparse.

We know the bare bones, but nothing substantial.

However, now that it’s officially full steam ahead, The Witcher community is back to hunting down any fresh information they can find.

It’s led to some old wounds being reopened, with fans concerned about The Witcher 4 as they remember the launch of Cyberpunk 2077.

Anyone fancy a game of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game?

One persistent cause of anxiety is that console players will be left behind when compared to PC ones.

According to CD Projekt RED, this isn’t going to happen.

Knowing that The Witcher 4’s console players won’t be forgotten come launch day is the music to our ears we’re referring to in our headline.

“Having the console working super late, it's unacceptable anymore, and it's part of our process,” explained CDPR’s Charles Tremblay to Eurogamer.

“So we do the reviews on console, so we know exactly where we are on all the platforms - the lower platforms we have [...] So we changed this approach to have a broader visibility on the other platforms we want to have.”

I don’t want to assume anything here, but you’re relieved, right? We are, at the very least.

Further instilling confidence in us is the conviction with which CDPR speaks of The Witcher 4’s content.

Everyone is feeling positive about the next title, and thus thoughts once again turn to its potential release date; when will The Witcher 4 launch?

We might have some idea of when that could be now that a potential launch date for the game has seemingly appeared online.

Moving forward, we’re going to be hit with a lot of false information with accurate details mixed in.

This is why we need to keep a level-head.

That said, for now, you have our permission to get hyped about this confirmed Witcher 4 feature.
