The Witcher 3 returns in huge new release, 4 years in the making

After taking 4-years to create, this brand-new The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt release is guaranteed to revolutionise the much-loved RPG.

There is no doubting that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is already an incredible game in its own right with CD Projekt Red’s RPG being considered one of the best in the genre.

However, you can still improve on perfection and that is what one modder has done over on Nexus Mods.

Created by Halk Hogan PL over the course of four years, The Witcher 3 HD Reworked aims to “raise the games’ visuals to the highest level yet and enhance it to a truly next-gen masterpiece”.

The free-to-download mod will “improve” The Witcher 3’s graphics by reworking a huge amount of game assets such as textures, models, materials and more.

Not only will your game still run smoothly with this next-gen upgrade but it doesn’t require extra VRAM so if you play at the highest settings, you will still be able to run it.

The Witcher 3 HD Reworked also includes implemented relief mapping on many surfaces, meaning they will look a lot more 3D now as well as “ultra quality detailed lore friendly textures” with most of them reworked to 4K.

There will also be more detailed models as well as better object LODs which includes an increased draw distance for many objects.

By keeping everything consistent with the original CDPR artistic vision for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, this mod is the best next-gen upgrade available right now.
