Who would like to play one of the best video games of all time for free? Well of course you do!

When The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was first released in 2015, it was quickly regarded as not only one of the best RPGs of all time but one of the best games ever. This notion was strengthened by the fact that it scored into the 90s across all formats on aggregate websites such as Metacritic and sold over 50 million copies.

The Witcher 3 was later made an even better experience thanks to the free ‘Next-Gen Update’ for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S by not only improving its visuals and performance but also adding the option of ray-tracing for good measure.

If for whatever reason, you’ve never played CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3, now could be the perfect opportunity, as long as you play on Xbox. As part of the ‘Free Play Days’ promotion, subscribers to Xbox Live Gold (soon to be Xbox Game Pass Core) and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, can play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition with the ‘Hearts of Stone’ and ‘Blood and Wine’ expansions for free.

What’s more, that is not all, because there are a few more games that you can play at no extra cost too. Those other free games include PGA Tour 2K23 Cross-Gen Edition, Meet Your Maker and TramSim Console Edition. The ‘Free Play Days’ promotion will run for the entirety of this weekend from Thursday 20 July to Sunday, 23 July 2023.

Other than being a subscriber to one of the Xbox services mentioned above, all you need to do to play any of the games for free is download them to your console. Obviously, you won't be able to access those games once the promotion has run its course. However, should you choose to make a purchase, all four games come with a discount over the weekend and your progress will carry over.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out now for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
