The Last of Us episode 6 of the critically acclaimed HBO series is hiding a brilliant Red Dead Redemption 2 connection.

Episode 6 of The Last of Us was fantastic for a number of reasons. Not only did it portray Joel’s PTSD in a respectable manner, but it was once more gripping from beginning to end. This is despite accusations that the episode glorified communism.

However, eagle-eyed fans of the series noticed a subtle, yet brilliant Red Dead Redemption 2 connection. Without giving too much away, Ellie and Joel make their way into a cabin, a home of an elderly married couple.

Seemingly not intimidated by Joel’s attempts to ensure that the couple pinpoints an exact location on a map to discover the whereabouts of his brother Tommy, the voice of the character known as Marlon might sound especially familiar. What’s more, this scene was a recreation of a more brutal moment in the original game. If you know, you know.

So, what is the real name of the actor that portrayed Marlon so wonderfully, I hear you ask?

In a tweet shared by a fan account, Naughty Dog World, it was none other than Graham Greene who played native American, Rains Fall in Rockstar Games, Red Dead Redemption 2.

In case you didn't know, Greene, an Academy Award nominee, also starred in hit movies such as Dances with Wolves, The Green Mile, and Wild River to name a few. Green also played the role of Rafe McCawley in the hit sci-fi TV series, Defiance.

“He’s absolutely excellent in his role in RDR2. Was pleasantly surprised when he showed up in the episode, though a bit bummed that his role was basically just a few jokes “here’s some information now go ahead and be on your way”,” replied a Twitter follower.

“I knew it, my friend and I were watching it together and I told him it sounded just like him,” said another.
