The Game Awards 2024.
Set to air on Thursday, 12 December and hosted by Geoff Keighley, The annual Game Awards celebrates the best of the best in the past year of video games and this year has been one hell of a ride.
From Astro Bot and Metaphor: ReFantazio to Neva and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, 2024 has had something for everyone and now we can finally gather to hear which titles will be fighting it out to win a coveted trophy.
Of course, this includes the games in line to win the most anticipated trophy - Game of the Year.
Last year saw Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 snag the award and it remains to be seen who will match them as one of the gaming greats.
Thanks to the opinions of over 100 leading media and influencer outlets (including us here at GAMINGbible), the nominations for The Game Awards 2024 are finally here so without further ado, let’s take a look at the categories.

And last but not least.

You can view the full list of nominees, including those in the remaining categories, on the official Game Awards website.
To nobody’s surprise ASTRO BOT has dominated the nominations for 2024 with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth also being a surprise contender, each game receiving seven nods each.
Additionally, it is worth noting that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Silent Hill 2 are both PlayStation 5 exclusives so it is safe to say that Sony was unbeatable this year. In fact, it topped the studio noms list, garnering 16 across its various titles.
Now we just have to wait until 12 December to find out who will come out on top.
