Steam is finally getting one of the PlayStation 5’s best exclusive titles.

The PlayStation 5 is stacked with amazing exclusives with the likes of Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarök, Demon’s Souls, Returnal, and more. However, perhaps the best of them all is Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which just so happens to be the next Sony exclusive coming to PC.

Take a look at the gameplay trailer for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart below.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is developed by Marvel’s Spider-Man studio, Insomniac Games, but the PC port will be handled by Nixxes Software.

This development team joined PlayStation Studios in July 2021 and has since aided with the development of other PC ports for Insomniac, namely Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered as well as the Miles Morales standalone expansion.

“Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart comes to PC July 26, as Nixxes Software collaborates with Insomniac Games to bring the interdimensional adventure to ultrawide screen monitors everywhere,” PlayStation announced in a tweet.

As stated above, this PC Steam port will benefit from ultra-wide monitor support including triple monitor setups. What’s more, according to a PlayStation Blog post, both the gameplay and cutscenes have been optimised for those snazzy monitors. Players can game using either a mouse and keyboard or controller, including the PS5’s DualSense.

It will also support unlocked frame rates as well as the “latest performance-enhancing upscaling technologies.” Furthermore, players have the choice of using: “NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 2, Intel XeSS and Insomniac Games’ Temporal Injection. NVIDIA Reflex and image quality enhancing NVIDIA DLAA are also supported.”

In our review of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, we described it as perfection, scoring it a mighty 10 out of 10! Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be released for PC on 26 July 2023 and is available now for PlayStation 5. Let’s just hope that this port is handled better than The Last of Us Part I.
