Steam has become the go-to place if you're a PC gamer looking to either pick up some bargains, or entirely free games to add to your collection, with the service seemingly adding more and more with each passing day.
That pattern continues apace, and there are four new releases you should be aware of if you're a fan of the ultimate bargain, because it turns out you can get something for nothing if you know where to look.
As first shared by Free Steam Games over on Twitter/x, four new games dropped on Steam that you can pick up without parting with any of your hard-earned cash. This time around, the titles are ONE IN THE BACK, SBMFR, Shadow's Grove and MU: Dark Epoch (please excuse all the caps lock I was forced to use there).
From puzzle games to fantasy MMOs, the freebies cover just about every base, so here's exactly what you can expect.

Four New Compelling Free Games on Steam
ONE IN THE BACK is an escape room style puzzle game where you as the player are tasked with solving the "mysteries of the photographs". Gameplay essentially functions as a simple point-and-click with the narrative delivered entirely without text, and the whole thing delivered via 2D hand-drawn art.
SBMFR is a turn-based strategy game that acts just as much like a framework as it does a game. With a visually similar approach to RISK, it comes with a level editor and a ton of settings so you can make each custom game your own. It's also multiplayer so you can play your custom games with friends.

In the developer's own words, Shadow's Grove is "an emotionally-driven action adventure game following the journey of Astrid, a young spirit guide struggling to accept the loss of her lifelong companion, Eri."
This will be the game to head to if you're more into the narrative side of things, and along the way you'll be facing puzzles and traversing the game's handcrafted environments, while shifting between human and wolf forms for different sections.
Up last comes MU: Dark Epoch, originally a mobile MMO that promises fast-paced gameplay and intense combat. The game includes a class system, trading and loot drops, so all the stuff you would expect from an MMO, with a hint of the appearance of the old MU: Global.
All the games are available to download in full for free right now, so just head over to Steam if any of them take your fancy.
