This week has seen Steam welcome a whopping 12 new games to its extensive library so buckle up as your week is about to get a lot busier.

The Valve storefront is no stranger to dropping some underrated games for absolutely free.

Check out the trailer for The First Descendant below!

As a result, attention is drawn to some of these hidden gems and PC users don’t have to spend a penny. A win-win situation, right?

So without further ado, let’s take a look at the 12 free games available on Steam right now.

The First Descendant is a brand-new third-person looter-shooter where you will fight for the survival of humanity in both solo or co-op play.

Next is Katto: Rising Tides, “a funny and dynamic platformer game” with beautiful sun drenched visuals.

Fans of battle royales should check out Domenation. Set in a post-apocalyptic future, players must battle against other players and vicious creatures in order to become the ultimate survivor.

Mecha fans can try AfterM.A.T.H., a sci-fi action game where you pilot advanced mechs to combat the deadly Venomarch creatures.

Also up for grabs as of July 21 is puzzle game Shelley Manor, life-sim/MMORPG CloudStudy and 3D first-person shooter Invention 5.

There is also Ember Point, “a red-hot, combat-focused, third-person action game” as well as Adrenaline Injection, a platformer which sees you go up against hordes of techno-mutants.

Last but not least we have online co-op psychological horror game Mortuar, racing platformer Primal Slideee and D.N.A: Do Not Answer, a first-person horror game driven by its intriguing story.

All of these titles and thousands more are available for free over on Steam so don’t miss out if you’re eager for something new to play this upcoming weekend.
