The original trilogy of Star Wars is arguably the best out of the three, in terms of consistency anyway as all three films are fantastic in their own way.
Disney’s sequels did an admirable job of continuing the saga, but fell short in several areas, especially from Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi onwards, with Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker being irredeemable to many.
It really was that bad, it needed a lot more work before it was released to audiences.
For those who are disappointed through and through with how the story continued after Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi, I have good news as a sequel comic is coming out that’ll tell you what happened after the events of the film, and make some of Disney’s story inclusions make more sense.

It’s the new Star Wars comic series created by Marvel, and the first issue picks up in the final days of the intergalactic war between the Rebels and The Empire, featuring the infamous trio Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and Han Solo.
The description reads: “The New Republic defeated the last remnants of the Empire at the legendary Battle of Jakku, but the greatest threats to its success are just emerging in this transformative period of Star Wars lore … this new landscape of stories represents Marvel’s most revelatory contributions to the Star Wars mythos yet.”
It sounds like a good read and it’ll be available on 7 May, so you’ve got less than a week to wait until you can get your hands on it.
While the sequel trilogy isn't the best in the Skywalker Saga, I think it did have some redeeming elements, like Kylo Ren who’s origins get explored more in this comic series.
