YouTuber SSSniperwolf has been demonetised on the video hosting platform over doxxing accusations, after the content creator became embroiled in a feud with Jacksfilms.

Alia ‘SSSniperwolf’ Shelesh has been feuding with Jack ‘Jacksfilms’ Douglass for years, particularly with regards to reaction-based content. This is essentially when a content creator reacts to another piece of content with their reaction forming the basis of their own video. In this case, SSSniperwolf is well known for filming her reactions to TikToks and viral videos. For a while now, this has drawn the criticism of fellow YouTuber Jacksfilms who’s described this kind of video creation as profiting off stolen content.

Jacksfilms has particularly pointed out that SSSniperwolf rarely cites or credits the original creators of the content she is reacting to, adding that her commentary doesn’t particularly do enough to transform the stolen content into something new. Jacksfilms has made an entire video on this titled ‘The WAR on stolen content’, with SSSniperwolf being one his go-to examples of this kind of content in action.

As reported by Polygon, on 13 October, SSSniperwolf asked her Instagram followers if she should “go visit” Jacksfilms, adding that “he lives five mins away from my shoot”. Later that day, the YouTuber posted a photo of the outside of Jacksfilms’ house, adding the caption, “Let’s talk like adults”. Revealing the private information of someone on the internet, in this case Jacksfilms’ address, is known as doxxing.

Jacksfilms was on a livestream at the time the photo was posted but swiftly ended the stream. He later took to Twitter to write, “SSSniperwolf just doxxed me on her Instagram. Creepy, gross, violating. What you do is disgusting. You steal content AND stalk YouTubers. YouTube demonetise this dangerous ‘creator’ or just get her off your platform. She posted an IG story right outside our home and deleted it.”

SSSniperwolf responded, writing, “This creep has been harassing me for months then plays victim saying I threatened him when I just wanted to talk to him. I have no ill intentions. It’s so sad when people have to constantly create drama to pay their bills.”

Now, YouTube has finally responded to the situation, confirming that it has demonetised SSSniperwolf. In a tweet, Team YouTube said, “Confirming SSSniperWolf has received a temporary monetisation suspension per Creator Responsibility policies. Off platform actions that put others’ personal safety at risk harm our community & the behavior on both sides isn’t what we want on YT. Hoping everyone helps move this convo to a better place.”

SSSniperwolf has since apologised to Jacksfilms: “Let me start by saying I’m sorry for my recent actions; it is inexcusable. I’m sorry to Jacksfilm, YouTube, the entire creator community, and my incredible fans for not being a better example for appropriate conflict resolution. Jacksfilm[s], while we certainly don’t see eye to eye and have our differences, I am sorry for reacting the way I did when I should’ve taken the opportunity to show young creators how adults and professionals resolve conflict by communicating directly, respectfully, and privately; not for views or content, but a meaningful example of how conflict should be solved.”

She continued, “I will reach out directly and hope we can find some time to connect and communicate, respectfully. I’d also like to thank YouTube for holding me accountable. I deserve it, respect the decision and appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow from a true lapse in judgement.”
