It takes some “science” but one Skyrim player has worked out, using maths, how to reach level 200 before leaving the game’s starting area of Helgen.

I know, it’s a ludicrous idea, and you’ll be ridiculously overpowered for basically every other task in Skyrim, but it might be worth trying on your next playthrough.

Everything is explained on Reddit, and if you bear with me, I’ll try to break down how this is done.

It starts with Reverissa saying, “Now, I'm pretty sure that everyone knows about the Hadvar/Ralof exploit, but I've practically got it down to a farmable science.”

Essentially, the exploit has players using sneak attacks to level up the sneak skill, then using that to farm XP.

“The only problem with trying to grind levels this way is that most people will always detect you,” the Redditor continues.

It goes on - “Ralof/Hadvar are fairly easy to sneak attack [...] in order to get a sneak attack from level 15, you want to put one perk into the sneak tree. The 20% sneak one. It may seem a waste of a perk, but it makes it so you can spam attack on him and not get discovered.”

By doing this, you can one-hand Hadvar until you get some points and receive “4 or 5 skillups. At that point, take the 20% better sneaking perk, and stealth behind him. Spam your attack, using a dagger in the main hand for best results. Your stealth skill will rapidly go up.”

You’ll soon find, after repeating this, that level 100 is in sight, and then you can get the legendary sneak skill, to take you to level 200.

It’s pretty in-depth, and a little time sink, but if you want to be overpowered, this is the way to start.

“Thank you you are a Saint,” said one player, who seems invested in trying this technique.
