Skyrim fans just learning the game has a max level after all

That is an eye-watering number

With many fans still playing Skyrim to this day, it makes sense that quite a number of them have reached very high levels when it comes to their in-game stats.

However, what a lot of fans didn’t know is that there is actually a maximum level that can be reached in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Check out the official trailer for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim below!

First released 14 years ago, Skyrim has cemented itself as a modern-day classic with the Bethesda RPG still being played to this day.

Maybe that is because The Elder Scrolls VI seems as though it may never arrive, but there is no denying that Skyrim is a highly regarded RPG in its own right.

With some players still having their original saves, we can only imagine what level they have managed to reach since 2011.

However, it seems as though there is a maximum level and going beyond that may even crash your game.

This comes after one player took to r/skyrim to ask, “What's the highest level anyone has ever reached? I just got to 304 yesterday.”

However, it would seem as though they are quite far away from the maximum level as one person in the comments explained.

“The highest level it's possible to achieve is 65,535 (FFFF in hexadecimal); if you try to go beyond this, the value overflows to zero and crashes the game (I choose to interpret this as the Dragonborn achieving Amaranth and escaping your computer).”

However, another user added to that and said: “It doesn't actually crash. I've done it before, and it just sets you to level 0. I have the unofficial patch, but I doubt it would change anything there since you can't get that high a level through normal gameplay, and it still overflowed.”

Whether or not Skyrim crashes seems to be open to debate but what we do know is that level 65,535 seems to be the highest you can reach in-game.

We can assume that somebody has reached that if we know this information and if so, that is one impressive feat indeed.
