'Resident Evil 4 Remake' Face Model For Ashley Graham Announced

Leon! Help!

Anybody who’s ever played Resident Evil 4 will instantly recognise the shrill calls of the lesser-spotted Ashley Graham. The character has become synonymous with grating fetch/rescue quests in video games, and as such, is entwined within video game history herself. Truly, Ashley has become an intrinsic part of what makes Resident Evil what it is.

With the news that Resident Evil 4 Remake now has a release date of 24th March 2023, fans have been feverish to learn everything they can about the game. That, of course, extends to the characters themselves and what they’re going to look like. Thankfully, we now know who’s going to lend their facial features to the character of Ashely in the upcoming title.

Oh, you didn’t see the trailer for Resi Evil 4 Remake? The one that was shown off during Sony’s recent State Of Play event? Well stop a moment and take a look right here.

The trailer does show a few glimpses of Ashley, including a lingering close up of her face in a photograph held by Leon Kennedy as he searches for her, but if we know one thing about video game fans, it’s that they always want to see more of the thing they’ve just seen, and they want it now.

Well you’re in luck, because it’s been confirmed that Ashley’s face has been modeled on Dutch model Ella Freya. She took to Twitter recently to announce the news, saying “When I saw the trailer, I almost cried. I’m so happy right now. Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart.”

As far as protagonist Leon is concerned, we have less information, but we do know that Matthew Mercer, who voices Leon in Resident Evil 6 won’t be reprising his role this time around. It’s also unconfirmed whether Nick Apostolides, who lent his face to Leon in the Resident Evil 2 Remake, will be returning for the role here.

I’ve no doubt that we won’t have too long to wait until more information is revealed around the game, so keep it locked here for all the latest.
