Fans believe this Red Dead Redemption 2 Easter egg is the perfect setup for a Red Dead Redemption 3.

While Rockstar Games hasn’t officially announced a third game in the Red Dead series, I think we all know it’s coming given the enormous success of the series so far.

Check out these hilarious wins and fails in Red Dead Redemption 2 below.

After GTA VI releases next year it’s more than likely Red Dead Redemption 3 will enter at least the early stages of development, and fans think they’ve landed on the perfect idea for the next game.

It involves a photo found in Red Dead Redemption 2 of our beloved protagonist Arthur Morgan, who’s actually coming back to us in the last way you’d expect. The photo shows Dutch and Hosea back in the good old days where they weren’t on the run or dead.

Aside from the boys looking mighty fine back in their youth, fans think it’d be the perfect way to bring back some beloved characters in, you guessed it, another prequel.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel to the first game, with players controlling John Marston in the game’s epilogue before the events of his own story.

Reddit user toyskii pitched the idea for yet another prequel, believing it’d be cool to see the origins of the Van Der Linde gang and touch on some of the events that led into Red Dead Redemption 2.

Fans agreed, with one saying it’d be “cool as hell,” even though others weren’t too keen on spending another game with Dutch and his shenanigans.

That being said, some thought it’d make more sense to move away from the gang in favour of fresh faces. The “story has been told perfectly I don’t think we need more," one comment read.

Who knows what the future, or past, holds for Red Dead Redemption, and to be honest, there’s no point speculating on it since it’s at the very least a decade away.
