Red Dead Redemption 2 player hogties an entire town, just because

A Red Dead Redemption 2 player kidnapped an entire town, because why not?

Ever wondered what an entire town of hogtied residents looks like in Red Dead Redemption 2? If you have, there’s no need to wonder anymore – one player decided to take bounty hunting to a whole new level, complete with Reddit proof.

User Alexc518 uploaded the video on the Red Dead Redemption subreddit, much to the amusement of many RD2 players. The video, titled “Wiggle Buddies (Reunion)”, features a staggering $1,045 bounty, and the whole town struggling against their restraints. It isn’t quite as unnerving as the hidden truth about The Manmade Mutant, but it comes close.

For those of us who used to send our Sims swimming, only to then remove the ladder, this scene is all too familiar, albeit from an unlikely source. But this isn’t the first time a RD2 player has gotten inventive with the game. In 2022, Tumble85 posted a screenshot showing the gun pile remains of what was once a hogtied person. The only difference between these two hogtie related incidents is that one was intentional.

Given how impressive – and slightly scary – this hogtie feat is, many were left wondering how Alexc518 managed to get the town to comply. Their answer? “Fear.”

Having amassed 660 upvotes, and still counting, the video has become non canon lore. If nothing else, save our own amusement, this latest RD2 prank demonstrates how versatile the game is. Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on 26 October 2018, and is still delivering quality content, no matter how much it deviates from the intended narrative.

In fact, there’s been so many instances where players have taken matters into their own hands, as demonstrated by the long list of dishonourable in-game actions shared on Reddit. Most of them tend to be accidental, but as we can see from this latest escapade from the weird and wonderful world of RD2 gameplay, some people just want to watch the (fictional) world burn.

We can’t tell you if the town is still hogtied, though our hope is one of those poor souls managed to wiggle to freedom. As hilarious as it is, that room will be smelling pretty ripe by now! Although there’s still many questions we want answered, what we do know is that RD2 still has a lot to give, probably more than we deserve.
