Red Dead Redemption 2 Gets Official DLC, Enjoy for Limited Time

Red Dead Redemption 2 players can enjoy a sweet new month of free content, available throughout the month of November.

Although it doesn’t get as much attention as its older brother, GTA Online, Red Dead Online still gets a decent amount of updates each month.

These updates usually come in the form of special promotions, discounts, and events that players can participate in while they’re live.

This month’s events for Red Dead Online gives the game a Thanksgiving flair, featuring special discounts and promotions related to the holiday that occurs towards the end of November.

As seen on the Red Dead Online Reddit page, the Thanksgiving update for Red Dead Online will reward you with special items and cash if you take part in the event-specific activities.

“Prepare for the holiday feast of Thanksgiving by hunting for turkeys and other wildlife and earning plenty selling Perfect Carcasses, completing Trader Sales, and more,” reads the post.

“All Saloons are celebrating by offering free provisions from November 25 through December 1, while waived fees for Persistent Posse Setup make it free and easy to rustle up some friendly faces to join you at the bar.”

These bonuses include 2X trader materials from Perfect Carcasses, Pelts, Skins, and Hides. You can also get double RDO$, XP, and Role XP from trader sales.

There’s also 3X RDO$ and XP up for grabs from the Trade Route Free Roam Event, and 3X RDO$, Gold, and XP from the Featured Series.

Meanwhile, there are several discounts available throughout the month, including several freebies. For starters, the fee to set up a persistent posse is now free.

Food and drinks at saloons are also free during Thanksgiving week, which takes place between 25th November and 1st December.

In addition to this, you can also find various discounts on different weapons, clothing, and other items which will help you to save up a bit of gold or cash.

This week, you can play an activity with a persistent posse to receive a reward for the Citadel Rock Treasure Map, and the Featured Series for the week includes the Hardcore Elimination Series.

The Red Dead Online Thanksgiving event goes live today, 4th November, and will last until 2nd December.
