Red Dead Redemption 2 Limited-Time Free Download Announced

Red Dead Redemption 2 players have a new time-limited free download, but you’ll only have a week to grab it.

Every month, Rockstar Games likes to run various events in Red Dead Online, usually rewarding players with free in-game items or discounts.

These challenges and rewards usually roll around on a weekly basis during the month, where you’ll have about 7 days to collect it before the game moves on to the next one.

For the month of August, the various challenges and events in Red Dead Online are themed around bounty hunting. So be sure to stock up your weapons and get your fastest horse ready.

And what’s more, a new in-game challenge awaits. For the next week, Red Dead Redemption 2 players can pick up the white Vaquero Baroque Spurs for completing an in-game challenge.

In order to qualify for it, you need to complete a Legendary Bounty, which is significantly more difficult than a standard bounty.

But it’s also a lot more rewarding, you’ll just need to make sure you’re prepared to take on the challenge.

If you manage to collect a Legendary Bounty between now and 11th August, you’ll be rewarded with the white Vaquero Baroque Spurs added to your in-game wardrobe.

Also during this week, players can participate in the New Hanover Series, which currently rewards 2X RDO$ and XP. So it’s a good measure to levelling up your character if you fancy ranking up a little bit.

Red Dead Online is also hosting a variety of discounts for Bounty Hunter-related items for the rest of August.

Between now and 1st September, players can get “5 Gold Bars off Bounty Hunter and Prestigious Bounty Hunter Licenses, 40% off a selection of Bounty Hunter Outfits and the Prestigious Bounty Hunter’s LeMat Revolver Weapon Variant, and 50% off Bounty Hunter Wagons and Wagon Tints.”

Red Dead Online Bounty Hunter bonuses runs until 1st September, so be sure to check back each week for new in-game challenges and rewards.
