Red Dead Redemption 2 players have another freebie to claim, but they don’t have long to acquire it.
I’m not sure who still plays Red Dead Online. Last time I checked, it still had a reasonably sized PC playerbase due to roleplay servers but when it comes to PlayStation and Xbox, I’m not so sure.
Unfortunately, it never quite took off like GTA Online did, probably because its Wild West setting limited what kind of DLCs could be added.
That said, the game is still alive for the time being and Rockstar Games is still adding to it to this day, like the Undead Nightmare-like DLC update it dropped not too long ago.

This announcement isn’t as exciting but it’s something, and from Rockstar Games, that’s quite a lot.
For a limited-time, players will be able to add yet another new “community-inspired” outfit from the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Catalogue. You’ve got until 1 September to add this outfit to your wardrobe.
I’m sure fans will cringe at it being yet another beige fit, and from what I’ve seen, there’s far more drip to be acquired in the game if you want to really stand out from the crowd.
Joining the outfit are the usual bonuses to certain multiplayer missions as well as some discounts on gear, businesses, etc.

Red Dead Online had potential despite the time setting. Honestly, Rockstar should have just gotten weird with it and added more supernatural and sci-fi stuff like aliens and the like.
With rumours of a new-gen version of Red Dead Redemption 2 on the way, the possibility for more Red Dead Online content is there, depending on how many new players dive into the multiplayer mode when the enhanced versions come out.
That said, it’s probably wiser for Rockstar to focus on the next iteration of GTA Online, which will likely be launched sometime after GTA VI releases.
