Red Dead Redemption 2 free download available for 48 hours

Red Dead Redemption 2 players have some more freebies to claim just for playing the game, but as usual you don’t have long to claim them.

Don’t fret there’s still time though, around 48 hours which is plenty for a simple log-on and claim mission.

While you’re there you might as well start up another playthrough of the game as well right?

This time around in Red Dead Redemption 2, or more specifically the Red Dead Online mode that was introduced with it, you’ll be able to claim a black Raccoon Hat, but only after you’ve destroyed a Revenue Agent Blockade.

It’s a simple job and you’ve got until 24 March to see it done, and upon successful completion you’ll get your prize.

That’s not all though as there are a few other bits and bobs to see too while you’re on the game, for instance a set of clothes in honour of St Patrick’s Day, which passed earlier this week.

Claim the Regimental Hat, Puff Tie, Worsted Coat (Male), Shotgun Coat (Female), Paisley Vest, French Dress Shirt (Male), Iniesta Shirtwaist (Female), Bandito Pants, Dunsinnan Boots (Male), Lumber Boots (Female) and you’ll have a full set of clothes or any character.

Additionally you’ve got the usual bonuses to earned money and experience, this time focused on Maggie Fike and the bootlegging business, which will net you three times the amount of cash and XP for successful missions.

You’ll also earn three times the XP for taking out Gang Hideouts, but only until 31 March, a decent amount of time.

Finally there’s a reduced cost to Persistent Posse Setup Fees, very reduced actually as they’re not free.

So log into Red Dead Online right now and claim your freebies, it’s worth doing if you play regularly but if you’re more of a fan of the singleplayer experience feel free to give this a miss.
