Spanning across five fictitious U.S. states, Red Dead Redemption 2’s scale means that discoveries within its map are still being found to this day.

Red Dead Redemption 2 recently celebrated its six-year anniversary and since then, it has effortlessly cemented itself as one of the best single player games of all time.

Which is perhaps no wonder, considering it is a Rockstar Games title.

Check out the launch trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 below!

Following the story of Arthur Morgan and the rest of the Van der Linde gang, we follow our gunslinger as he explores the American Frontier during the 19th century.

However, it is the leader of the notorious Van der Linde gang that is the topic of today's discussion thanks to a recent finding by one player over on r/RDR2.

Dutch Van der Linde, who we hate to love, or love to hate, tells us all manner of stories throughout the events of Red Dead Redemption 2.

However, thanks to his frequent lies, it is hard to know what to believe. For one, was his mother really buried in Blackwater?

Well, it would appear she was as MlbTheShow22- on Reddit recently stumbled across her grave.

“I was in Blackwater and remembered in a cutscene Dutch said that his mother was buried in Blackwater. Sure enough, there it is,” they shared, alongside a screenshot of the memorial.

The grave belongs to Greta Van der Linde, that’s for sure, but it was a comment below that sparked even more interest.

“My guess is that’s where he hid the Blackwater money btw,” user Hamilton-Beckett said.

“They say it’s in a place that won’t be disturbed and on the fishing trip he makes an offhand comment about his mother being right in the end or something.”

Those are some excellent observational skills and definitely sounds like something Dutch would do.

However, with no way to actually look, this mystery remains unsolved.
