Update: Sony have now confirmed over on the PlayStation Blog that the PS Plus games for September are indeed Granblue Fantasy Versus, Need for Speed Heat and TOEM, meaning that the leak was accurate. Players subscribed to PS Plus’ Essential tier (or higher) can grab these games at no extra cost from 6 September.

It doesn’t stop there, though, the September’s additions to the Extra and Premium tier game libraries have also been confirmed. From 20 September, those subscribed to Extra tier (or higher) will be able to play Deathloop (only on PS5), Assassin’s Creed Origins, Watch Dogs 2, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition, Chicory: A Colorful Tale, Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 5, Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX, Rabbids Invasion: The Interactive TV Show, Rayman Legends, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game - Complete Edition. Whew, that was a lot.

Meanwhile, those paying for PS Plus’ priciest tier will be getting the PS1 game Syphon Filter 2, three new PS3 titles (The Sly Collection, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, and Bentley’s Hackpack), and two new PSP games - Toy Story 3 and Kingdom of Paradise. These will also be available from 20 September.

Original article:

You know what time it is. As we creep towards the end of the month, the question on every gamer’s mind is ‘what free games are we getting at the start of the next one?’ September’s PS Plus games have felt like an oddly long time coming, but it seems we finally know which games are going to be clogging up our backlogs next.

Spoiler alert, one of the games is TOEM - check out the trailer for it below.

Thanks to reliable PS Plus leaker billbil-kun (via Dealabs), the lineup of games coming to PS Plus’ Essential tier in the coming days has seemingly been revealed online. The announcement may not be official just yet, but these leaks have a very good track record of being totally accurate, so chances are, this is what we’re getting, and there’s some pretty great choices.

Reportedly, PS4 users will be able to nab themselves the fast-paced racing game, Need for Speed Heat, and fighting game Granblue Fantasy Versus. PS5 owners will also be able to get their hands on TOEM - a gorgeous, hand-drawn indie adventure.

According to the leaker, anyone subscribed to PS Plus (at any tier) will be able to grab these titles totally free from 6 September until 4 October - once you’ve added them to your library, you’ll be able to download and play them for free any time (as long as you stay subscribed to PS Plus, that is). Also, if you’ve not already grabbed August’s free games, be sure to do so while you can - you have until 6 September to claim Yakuza: Like A Dragon, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 and Little Nightmares.
