If you are eager to embark on a brand-new Pokémon adventure, then you are in luck as this brand-new instalment is guaranteed to scratch that itch.

It has been a while since we received our most recent Pokémon entry, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and it is safe to say that fans of the monster-catching series are holding out for the next instalment.

Check out the most recent Pokémon entry, Scarlet and Violet, below!

However, with Pokémon Legends: Z-A not expected to be released until later this year, we need something to fill the void and luckily, this brand-new project will be the perfect addition.

Pokémon Lazarus is a fan-made Pokémon entry which will take players to a brand-new region based on the Aegean Sea.

Created by JackWellman101 over on r/PokemonROMhacks, the demo for Lazarus is now available and players can expect “a new story, with new characters and a spooky new evil team to defeat”.

There will also be charming GBC-style graphics, a variety of exciting new features, such as a day/night system and overworld Pokémon encounters, and even content up to the 3rd gym and beyond in just the first demo.

Instructions on how to access Pokémon Lazarus can be found on the official Reddit post but it seems as though the accompanying screenshots have already inspired fans to get installing.

“This is shaping up to be an all time hack classic. Fingers crossed the project would get completed,” one user said.

However, it would seem as though the creator has hinted at the full project being completed by around August, with them previously having released content in no time at all.

Not only that but JackWellman101 has some ambitious plans for Pokémon Lazarus.

When asked how many Pokémon they plan on adding over time, they replied: “The dex will contain 400 Pokémon, not including regional forms.

Counting those, the total number is up somewhere around 430!”

For now, it seems as though the demo itself is worth it, at least according to a fellow Reddit user.

“Holy f**k. I don’t remember if the original GBA Pokémon games had moving like, world objects aside from flowers and small stuff like that, but when I walked down Bronze Fields and saw the windmill, I knew this would go down as the f**king GOAT,” they praised.

“I can’t believe you managed to top Emerald Seaglass but I’m dying for more.”
