Xbox is scrapping a popular feature this year, and it might prove to be rather unpopular with the fans.
One of the most popular things that tech companies like to do nowadays is give you a yearly review for how much you’ve used their product.
Following the success of Spotify Wrapped, you can now get end of year summaries for social media apps, other music apps, and I even got one the other day for my banking app.
Video game companies have also seen the potential in this, with platforms like Steam and PlayStation Network breaking down just how much time you wasted collecting every collectible in Assassin’s Creed.

Xbox also usually does a similar thing too, but fans have noticed that this year it seems to be suspiciously absent.

Xbox Wrapped Will Not Be Available For 2025
As of 22 December, no end of year review for Xbox platforms has been released, despite last year’s still being available.
As reported by Windows Central’s Jez Corden, the reason for this is down to it not being in Xbox’s marketing budget this year.
“Some of you have been asking me if Xbox would be doing its own ‘Year in Review’ style recap of your gaming habits for 2025,” Corden writes.
“My sources suggest that (as you might expect given that it's now the 18th), that Xbox is not doing a "Wrapped" this year. And there's potentially a good reason.
“Next year will kick off a confluence of major anniversaries not just for Xbox, but some of its subsidiary properties too. Xbox is having its 25th anniversary, alongside Halo itself. Blizzard is also having its 35th anniversary, and Bethesda is having its 40th anniversary too.”
Corden adds that “a lot of the ‘marketing budget’ that would've typically been allocated to something like an ‘Xbox Wrapped’ is being poured into efforts to celebrate these major milestones for Xbox, its brands, and some of its games.”
So, Corden suggests that this is purely a budgetary reason.
Microsoft, which has a net worth estimated to be around $3.6 trillion, by the way, recently invested around $80 billion dollars in AI development.
Meanwhile, end of year wrap ups for Steam and PlayStation 5 seem to be going over quite well with those respective communities. Many players are enjoying discovering their own stats and sharing them with others on social media apps like Reddit, TikTok and Bluesky.
