Nowadays, we don’t often see custom consoles as we once had back in the earlier days of Xbox, where Halo or Gears of War themed hardware would line the shelves of your local game shop.
These designs are now strictly one-off prizes, given away to Xbox fans, celebrating the launch of new games.
That’s the case here, with this stunning Xbox themed around one of the best games of the year, so far, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Over on Reddit, one lucky fan won the giveaway for the console, and reported in once it had arrived, showing it off in several photos.
In their post, they said, “it is beautiful. The base is pretty hefty, almost as heavy as the console, and it’s masterfully painted all over with petals.”
It truly is a gorgeous console, pulling from imagery within the game, such as the aforementioned petals, as well as craggy stairs, and winding trees.
This theme also appears on the controller, with wind-blown petals streaming up from the bottom of the controller, and featuring gold on the sides of the grips.

“This is a work of art,” said another Redditor in reply.
It’s frankly astonishing that companies like Xbox and PlayStation are so hesitant to put out custom consoles, or at least swappable faceplates.
As one Reddit user said, “Xbox has the best custom consoles it really just sucks you can't buy them, they would sell so many of them.”
This seemed to be the sentiment throughout the Reddit post, with another user jumping in to say, “I wish they sold proper themed consoles like the 360 days.”

The original user got very lucky, being picked from the Xbox subreddit as the winner, so it really does pay to enter these giveaways whenever you get a chance, as you never know if your name will be chosen.
