The weekend may be over but that does not mean that the gaming needs to stop as Xbox has dropped a massive free game that you can download and keep forever.

The game is none other than Metro 2033 Redux, a 2010 first-person shooter/survival horror game based on Dmitry Glukhovsky's novel of the same name.
After a nuclear war, survivors have taken refuge in the Metro tunnels of Moscow and it is here that our story begins.

Players will take on the role of Artyom, a survivor who must save his home station from the dangers lurking within the Metro which includes humans and mutants alike.
A remaster for Metro 2033 Redux was released back in 2014, allowing the game to welcome next-gen visuals at 60fps.
Now for just 24-hours, Metro 2033 Redux is available to download and keep forever courtesy of Xbox.
It is available on both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S and has been reduced from its £16.99 price tag.
The Xbox synopsis reads as follows: “In 2013 the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the earth’s surface into a poisonous wasteland. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilisation entered a new Dark Age. The year is 2033. An entire generation has been born and raised underground, and their besieged Metro Station-Cities struggle for survival; with each other, and the mutant horrors that await outside."
It continues, "You are Artyom, born in the last days before the fire, but raised underground. Having never ventured beyond the city limits, one fateful event sparks a desperate mission to the heart of the Metro system, to warn the remnants of mankind of a terrible impending threat. Your journey takes you from the forgotten catacombs beneath the subway to the desolate wastelands above, where your actions will determine the fate of mankind.
But what if the real threat comes from within?”
