Xbox has finally added a feature that the fans are in love with and one that shows the true power of cloud gaming.

Xbox Insiders with Alpha and Alpha Skip-ahead rings can now play the games they own via the cloud, without having to download the game to the console first.

Everything is an Xbox now. Your phone, your laptop, your toaster.

It’s been a long time coming and fans have waited patiently. While it’s not available to everyone just yet, those with access have been reporting that it’s a superb feature.

Essentially, this option will give you a chance to play anything you already own digitally that’s available on Xbox Cloud Gaming.

No more filling up your SSD with monumental games that greedily eat up every GB.

The initiative called “Bring your own game” has around 50 games ready to play, from small indies all the way up to the chonky boys like Cyberpunk 2077.

“This is freaking awesome!” says an Xbox fan over on Reddit.

Another fan comments, “I'm very happy about the feature.” You and a bunch of others, for sure.

This is one way that cloud gaming can really help those who own big digital libraries and want access to their games at all times.

Of course, streaming will be dependent on your setup and your bandwidth, but it’s a great start.

Plenty of Xbox players are dashing to try it out.

“I just played Hogwarts Legacy, so it's working,” said _gl4ss.

Others are loving that more people will be able to play the games they own while saving space.

Meanteenbirder comments, “Legit gonna be how a significant amount of newcomers play Cyberpunk [2077] and Baldur’s Gate 3,” highlighting two huge games.

Even those with a Series X will be struggling for storage space nowadays as games continue to grow, so this is a very welcome addition.
