Xbox gamers finally getting one of the best PlayStation exclusives, it appears

It's an Xbox player's final fantasy

PlayStation players have been enjoying this exclusive game for some time now, but a recent Xbox video uploaded to YouTube by ‘Rand al Thor 19’ featured a comment from Jes Corden who believes Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming soon to Xbox Series consoles.

Reported on Reddit, the comment was pulled from the video and says “I got evidence tentatively that there are discussions about Final Fantasy VII for Xbox.” The rumour seemingly swirls around every once in a while, however, the game has been on PlayStation for a significant amount of time that an exclusivity window could be closing.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be here very soon

Bringing the game to Xbox Series X at this time would make a lot of sense. Not only is the game already popular, meaning sales figures would be great, but the sequel is coming to PlayStation next month, so tongues will be wagging and Final Fantasy 7 will be on the minds of many. Having Cloud and the gang on Xbox would do wonders for the franchise and would open up a very nostalgic experience to leagues of players who played the iconic JRPG the first time around.

If you weren’t aware, the classic RPG is currently being given the remake treatment, subtly changing some parts of the game while also sticking to the core story we first saw in the 1990s on the original PlayStation. The first part, Remake, covers the opening of the game, while the next part, Rebirth, will bring the game into the open world.

Given the popularity of the franchise, it’s a shame that Xbox players have missed out until now, so many will likely be hoping this time the rumour is true. This week Xbox are hosting a showcase for upcoming games, so keep your fingers crossed for a surprise announcement or maybe even a shadow release.
