Xbox gamers are blown away by an incredible $5,000 freebie that a fan has recently won.

As a gamer, there’s not many better feelings than winning a free console or video game, especially when a desired item may be beyond our financial reach. However, one win that most certainly tops a free console or game is winning loadsamoney!

Depending on the amount we win, we can pretty much buy whatever we want. One such winner was a Reddit user who claimed $5,000 via Microsoft Rewards. With that kind of win, they could buy a beast of a gaming PC, and still have change to spare.

Microsoft Rewards is a free scheme that rewards players with points for completing simple tasks such as using the Bing web browser or logging into the Xbox Game Pass mobile app. The points can then be used to enter competitions, claim free Xbox store credit or make charitable donations.

“This is my first time posting here. I’m wondering if anyone else has won and what your process was like?” asked the Reddit user in question, with an image of their big win.

If anyone is wondering if this Reddit is sharing the news of their big win to gloat, in the small print of the image shared, it reads “Please share your win on social and then claim your prize.”

“Congrats! But I can’t believe they’re making you share it to get your money,” replied eeltongue.

“They want him to post so more people sign up for the system, because they have a chance to win, and it’s more data to sell,” explained beorn5606.

“Congrats, I messaged you, I also won the $5,000 prize, I'm freaking OUT,” yelled thaabiitchhjenn.

“I only ever get a single ticket entry. Congrats, though. That's an amazing win. What a rush,” said Dependent-Half-1933.

Of course, the chances of us winning a prize like this with Microsoft Rewards are slim, but at least this confirms that some people do win. So if you choose to enter one of these competitions, we wish you good luck.
