Xbox has just dropped a free game for everyone to play, but it’s only available for one week.
Microsoft regularly likes to throw out a few free games from time to time to Xbox users who don’t have an active Game Pass subscription.
After all, as much as subscription services like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass can be cool, they can be a big money sink sometimes.

Free Play Days is a promotion by Xbox to bring free games to users for a limited time.
Although these usually require Game Pass, Free Play Days For All is available to anyone regardless of whether they have an active subscription or not.
Now, Xbox is offering a new free game to play for one week, as part of the latest Free Play Days For All promotion.
Towerborne is a side-scrolling RPG with brawler combat, in which you play as a warrior born in the spirit realm. With special skills, grit, and determination, you unite with other characters to defend humanity’s last refuge and help them survive.

It’s currently in Game Preview, which is Xbox’s version of Early Access, and developer Stoic will be using feedback gathered from the preview to improve the game.
It sounds like running a free week for anyone to play will be a good way to do that, and with the added benefit of it being published by Xbox Game Studios, it shouldn’t have been too difficult to arrange either.
Towerborne will be available to play for free until 18th June, at which point you’ll need to either buy it or play it via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
In addition to this, Game Pass users on any tier can also play Bassmaster Fishing and Construction Simulator for free until tomorrow, 15th June.
