If you want to check out a fun video game for free, then you’re in the right place, especially if you’re a fan of LEGO and Marvel.

Originally released in 2013 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox, before arriving on Nintendo platforms, to say that LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is a blast, would be an understatement. This easy-to-pick-up-and-play action-adventure is for gamers and LEGO fans of all ages, especially if you are a parent looking for a fun co-op, open-world game to play with the family.

“Play as Hulk, Iron Man and Spider-Man to defeat Sandman and the Abomination, who have taken over Grand Central Station. Fire off Iron Man’s repulsor rays and missiles, use Spider-Man’s spider-sense and web-slinging abilities, and SMASH SMASH SMASH as the Hulk,” reads the description of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes.

With a very respectable score of 80 on the aggregate website Metacritic, you know that you’re going to have a fun time with this LEGO entry. “The best thing to happen to Marvel games since 2006's Marvel Ultimate Alliance,” said IGN in a review.

There’s just something therapeutic about LEGO, whether it's the video game adaptations or building actual LEGO. However, LEGO video games provide endless delight smashing, building and collecting coins to unlock hundreds of playing characters. If that sounds like your jam, then check out the free playable demo for LEGO Marvel Super Heros on Xbox right now.

If you’re not an Xbox gamer, then fear not because the free LEGO Marvel Super Heroes demo is also available via the PlayStation Store for PS5 and PS4. It’s also worth keeping in mind that this charming game is also regularly discounted on digital stores across all available platforms, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for a bargain.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
