Xbox gamers warned they've mere hours to grab massive AAA free game

You have less than six hours left to grab a banger of a AAA game for free

Xbox owners are being warned that they have less than six hours left to claim a AAA, remastered version of a 2010 banger for the incredibly low price of free.

There aren’t any hidden catches, loopholes or free trials you need to sign up for either, so hurry up and nab this one before it disappears forever.

Xbox players have been issued a pretty simple warning over on the official @MetroVideoGame Twitter account: hurry up, dude.

“In celebration of #Metro15 Metro 2033 Redux is FREE on #Steam #GOG and #Xbox for the next 48 hours!” states the official Metro account.

“If you have not experienced the game that started it all, do it, now! Ends April 16 at 5PM CET | 9AM PT.”

Now, in case you don’t want me to do the maths for you, 5PM CET equals 4PM GMT. So, by the time you’re probably seeing this article, that means you have less than six hours left.

Metro 2033 Redux released back in 2014 for the Xbox One, which means that this freebie is up for grabs regardless of whether you’re an Xbox One owner or an Xbox Series S/X owner.

As the Tweet states, don’t feel left out if you’re a PC gamer though. Metro 2033 Redux is currently available for free on both GOG.com and Steam until 4PM GMT, too.

In fact, there’s absolutely nothing stopping you from grabbing it on Xbox and PC now that I think about it…

Either way, I heavily recommend you give this one a go if you haven’t already. The OG Metro 2033 was an incredible game, but the Redux version comes packaged alongside so many incredible extra additions (such as improved AI, new weather systems, and better stealth options) that it’s almost wrong to refer to it as just a remaster.

Plus, free is free, so hurry up and claim this one before time runs out.
