Fallout is back at the forefront of our minds, thanks to an Xbox announcement we didn't know was coming. We do love surprises, especially when it's for one of our favourite franchises.

In truth, we've never truly stopped thinking about Fallout, even when playing other games; such is the might of its influence. Not only is the fandom enjoying the opportunity to replay Fallout 3 remaster, but they're also relishing getting a free game to celebrate Amazon's Fallout imminent airing.

Look what we found in the vault 👀

Now we're even more hyped for everything Fallout, thanks to Xbox surprising everyone with a Fallout inspired controller that is just dying to join all your others (don't pretend you don't collect the unique controllers). The announcement appeared on Twitter, and immediately had gamers scrambling to buy themselves one.

"Going on my list of 'things I never knew I needed'," joked one thrilled fan, and we're right there with them. Arguably, what makes this controller so tempting is the fact you can design it to suit your tastes. It'll always feature the iconic Vault Boy imagery, but the colour is all down to you – think of all the possibilities!

While you're here, make sure to watch the official announcement for Fallout: London.

Of course, if you want one of these gorgeous Fallout Xbox controllers, you're going to spend a pretty penny; at least £79.56. We can all agree that while this Microsoft surprise is one that got our heart's fluttering, so does that price.

Should you not fancy parting with your hard earned cash, you can always just replay the games, but with a slight twist. There's currently a graphical overhaul for Fallout 4 that makes it look and feel more like The Last of Us, which only adds to an atmosphere that's already tense as you search for your missing son.

Should you be ready to pull the trigger on this limited edition controller, just head to Xbox Design Lab and get those creative juices flowing.
