Xbox drops 6 new free downloads you can grab now, no Game Pass needed

If you want to play some free Xbox demos this Christmas, then you’re in the right place and best of all, you don't even need an Xbox Game Pass subscription.

In this day and age, it’s always nice to play a free playable demo before we part with our hard-earned cash. Because on the flipside, there’s not much worse than wasting our hard-earned cash on a video game that totally sucked.

So whether we play on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch or mobile devices, a free playable demo can be the best friend to our bank balance. With that in mind, I’ve picked out six free playable demos that you can check out on Xbox right now:

• Slitterhead: “Set in the densely cluttered streets of Kowlong, filled with obscurity and chaos, this battle-action-adventure game casts players as the Hyoki, an entity devoid of memory and physical form.
