They do say you’ve got to be in it to win it; one Xbox user recently walked away from the Ultimate Giveaway with a free $500 gift card in tow.

If you are wondering what the Ultimate Giveaway is, it’s unsurprisingly a giveaway that Microsoft Rewards users are able to participate in.

It’s pretty likely that if you’re an Xbox user, you’re also a Microsoft Rewards user.

After all, why would you ignore the opportunity to accrue those reward points?

As I’m sure you’re aware, Microsoft Rewards users earn points on store purchases and via the completion of simple activities, like running searches on Bing, for example.

Well, you can also enter the Ultimate Giveaway on a daily basis.

Your first entry is totally free.

If you want to enter subsequent times, you’ll need to “search daily [to] maximise your chances to win more instant cash prizes”.

For those instant cash prizes, they range from £370 to £3,960, but you can win much bigger.

There’s also a grand prize of £741,440 (equates to $1,000,000) that you can enter to win too.

It’s very easy with these competitions to think, “I’m never going to win”, but perhaps this recent testimony could instill some faith within you.

Reddit user BurgerDotCom916 recently took to the site to share a massive win.

“OMG first time winning something,” they wrote. “Sharing here on Reddit with all my social media friends.”

The accompanying screenshot showed that BurgerDotCom916 had won a prepaid $500 gift card.

“It still hasn't hit me that I won something that'll actually help pay for groceries for a few weeks.”

“This winning was from the Ultimate Giveaway sweepstakes that's going on right now. You can enter to win EACH DAY,” the OP explained.

“To enter, you have to first complete at least one search that day. Afterwards, just open the Microsoft Rewards sidebar and click enter.”

They continued, “I normally did it on the Bing mobile app which has it as one of the first boxes under the home page titled ‘Try your luck today’ OR under the Rewards page as the box with the ‘Instant win’ showing a giftbox, located at the top right.”

It has certainly excited fellow Xbox users.

“Gives us something to look forward to and lets us know what to expect,” replied ThommThumb.

“Super duper triple congratulations!!! Now I can say I know someone who actually won! Have a great rest of your day,” added youdontsay100.

So make sure that you’re giving it a go yourself.

It’s so quick and easy to do, and you could end up with a chunky instant cash prize.
