Xbox drops 3 free games you can download and play this weekend

Three freebies are coming to Xbox today, and fans of anime games are going to want to make sure they get their money’s worth out of these ones as they’re only available until Sunday.

As revealed on the Xbox Wire blog, New World: Aeternum, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will all be available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Standard and Core members for the next three days.

The Free Play Days event is only running from Thursday February 20 at 12:01am Pacific Time until Sunday, February 23 at 11:59pm Pacific Time (so, for our UK readers, it’ll end at roughly 8am on Monday 24).

Now I personally haven’t played New World: Aeternum so I can’t offer you any recommendation there, however I do know that it’s an MMO so you may want to jump on that one ASAP if you are interested.

I have played both One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 though, and I think they’re both a lot of fun - although I do have a little caveat where Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is concerned.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is a fun little Musou game, so it’s basically just Dynasty Warriors with a One Piece coat of paint over the top, but I had a blast with it.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is sort of the ultimate love letter to Dragon Ball fans, and there is so much content in this game that you will never get through it in a single weekend.

However, I feel like I should warn you that like 70% of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s content is specific to DLC. That’s not an exaggeration either. Take a browse through the Xbox store and you’ll see how many hundreds of characters are locked behind extra purchases.

If you end up playing it and loving it, just don’t say I didn’t warn ya, because it’s one hell of a financial investment.
