Halo is officially going miniature with a new tabletop game that promises more than your average Halo experience.

I’m sure many are disappointed at the lack of talk surrounding a brand-new Halo game for the Xbox Series X/S and PC. While Halo: Infinite is in the best state it’s ever been in thanks to several post-launch updates and content drops, that support is now coming to an end, meaning many fans are eager for the next adventure.

Check out the latest and greatest from Halo: Infinite below

The next Halo game is rumoured to be in development right now with 343 Industries, and will supposedly be the first Halo game to ever release on PlayStation platforms, as Xbox slowly becomes more accepting of third-party gaming. It’s also said it’ll use Unreal Engine 5.

In the meantime though, it may interest fans to know you’ll soon be able to play Halo from an entirely new perspective, no console required. The sci-fi series is being adapted into a tabletop game called Halo: Flashpoint, the first trailer of which is out now.

The trailer shows several clips from Halo: Infinite’s multiplayer, following four custom-Spartans before revealing each one will receive a miniature version to be used in the game. The project is still in early development from the look of things, so the objective of the the game, rules and what character, vehicles and factions will be included are all unknown for the time being.

That being said the Halo universe is massive, meaning there are endless opportunities for different miniatures ranging from human soldiers, to Spartans, Covenant, Banished and Flood, each with their own special warriors and vehicles to include on the battlefield.

The release date for Halo: Flashpoint hasn’t been shared as of yet, though more trailers will surely follow this one and will hopefully shed some light on what else we can expect from the tabletop adaptation.
