Steam users can claim 10 free games available to download today to help keep us busy over Christmas.
I love Christmas, don’t get me wrong. However, all the family gatherings, not so much. So every opportunity I get to take myself away from social commitments to play video games, I will take that opportunity any chance I get.
With so much going on over Christmas, playing a plethora of video games will be a welcome change of pace. However, video games aren't cheap, as we all know, and even with gifted Christmas money, it will only go so far if we acquire one or two AAA games from our wishlist.
Thankfully, places like the PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo digital stores are great places to discover a ton of free games, whether they’re demos or free-to-play titles such as Fortnite and Rocket League.

That being said, when it comes to the number of free games, it probably doesn't get much bigger than what’s on the PC platform, Steam.
But with all that choice, it can feel a little overwhelming.
With that in mind, as brought to our attention by the fantastic Twitter account, ‘Free Steam Games’, here are 10 games that you can download and play from today (24 December).

First up is Blocky Ball OT, which is described as 'the long-awaited sequel to Blocky Ball'. It reads: "Take your game to new heights as you compete against other players in 1v1 and 2v2 matches. Additionally, there are several mini-games to refine your skills! Dunk on your opponents and become the blocky baller you were born to be!”
Then there is Foreign Orc. Its description says: "Learn a language while whacking rogues in a foreign land!
"Read, decide, and strike before time runs out. Improve your vocabulary through gameplay instead of flashcards and choose between multiple languages and categories.”
Third spot on our list belongs to HANEHOLO!.
"A jump-action game where you control Hololive members and aim for the goal!! With simple controls, just keep climbing higher and higher! Play the entire story for free in the free version," devs say.

Manchester's Crimes: The Beginnings is the fourth to try out. Set in 1889, you play as 21-year-old Wilson Hellberg looking for his brother's killer in a 'big, hostile city. Explore rich neighbourhoods and dark corners, conducting an investigation, which will lead Wilson closer to the long-awaited justice'.
Fifth is Merge Castle: Mansion Puzzles. Devs say: “Welcome to Merge Castle. Embark on an epic adventure to discover merge games, collect and merge dragons on a quest to free the mansion. Using your merge magic powers to match and merge dragons! Clearing the magic puzzles through cursed mansions.”

The other five are as follows:
