If you love The Legend of Zelda, Fallout, Stardew Valley and Cyberpunk 2077, then you’re going to want to check out this awesome-looking new RPG coming to Steam.
I know, that sounds like one hell of a mash-up, but we believe if you watch the trailer for this new Steam RPG in question, you’ll quickly know exactly what we mean.
When it comes to influential video games of all time, there aren't many games more influential than Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda series. Since its inception in 1986 on the NES, the adventures of Link have provided so many joyful memories that will last a lifetime and generations to come.
Perhaps not to the same extent, but the now-owned Bethesda RPG property, Fallout, is also quite the influential series of its own. Today, the likes of Stardew Valley and Cyberpunk 2077 will be hoping to leave similar impacts. Though it has to be said, the latter two are off to a great start.
The new and upcoming Steam RPG in question is the indie game, Soulbound: Online, developed and published by SpiderWare. To say that the trailer for this game is enticing is an understatement.
Advert

“Soulbound is a pixel-art MMO set inside a vast virtual world where combat, progression, and mystery are tightly intertwined. Dive into fast-paced, rougelite dungeons alone or alongside friends, build your character through powerful gear and abilities, and uncover the truth behind the hostile forces lurking beneath the surface of this digital reality,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam.
“You wake with no memory inside a world under the influence of the Anima. In Soulbound, slay hordes of enemies in roguelite dungeon runs, craft legendary weapons, and build your base. Squad up for three-player co-op, compete in clan raids for rare loot, and survive in a massive open world.”
Not yet, at least publicly. While Soulbound: Online doesn't have a release date on its Steam store, the general online chatter suggests that it will launch at some point this year. That being said, as we know very well in this industry, release date delays are always a possibility.
In the meantime, if you like the look of Soulbound: Online, it might be worth adding it to your Steam wishlist to be notified of any launch updates.
