I have no idea what the hell I’m looking at here - this free game on Steam just looks bonkers and creepy.

Discussion Over Dinner is a surreal horror game that puts the player is a horrible situation that nobody ever wants to live through - being invited over to dinner by anew neighbour.

Discussion Over Dinner looks weird. Good, but very weird.

It’s going to be tough for me to give you a run down of this game, considering I’ve not played it (yet) and there’s very little information on Steam.

From what I can gather, you’re invited to dinner by a new neighbour, and they interrogate you over food.

You’ll have to give the right answers to prompts if you’ve any hope of leaving the dinner table as friends.

It’s very ominous when the developer writes, “you might become another secret he'll have to hide from a future dinner guest.”

As a short experience, clocking in under two hours, you can quickly get through this dinner and then get back to the safety of your own home.

That’s pretty much how I treat any social engagement, to be honest.

For more information, let’s look at the user reviews, which are pretty glowing.

“Short but very tense and spooky! Did a great job of building an eerie environment, really fun!” exclaims one player.

Another user says, “This is SUCH AN UNDERRATED GAME! I feel lucky for finding this, this was so good. Way more interesting and fun than a random horror game.”

I can’t think of anything worse than small talk with someone I don’t know, I’d take Resident Evil zombies over this, any day.

As another player notes, “[This] game is so stressful I couldn't even finish it, this game is basically social anxiety: the game, and might leave you feeling genuine anxiety.”

It’s free to play on Steam, right now, and will be an ideal way to be creeped out of an evening.
