Steam Free Post-Apocalyptic Cosy Game is Being Overlooked by Users

This Steam post-apocalyptic cosy game comes highly recommended by gamers and should not be overlooked.

They say we should never judge a book by its cover, an ethos that I’m sure we’d all love to live by. But let’s be honest, by human nature, we’re all judgmental, whether we’d like to admit it or not.

I mean, unless we’ve been recommended a book or a description has caught our attention online, how are we not supposed to judge a book by its cover? In some parts, the same can be said about video games.

However, at least with video games, not only do we have the luxury of critical and user reviews, but also gameplay trailers, which provide us with the best indication of whether a video game is our cup of tea or not.

One such game that might not look all that at first glance is a Steam title called Hidden Cats vs Zombies 2, developed and published by the indie teams at FM Simple Games Studio/Sons of Welder.

Don’t Overlook His Hidden Gem

“Hidden Cats vs Zombies 2 is a hidden object game – the player's task is to find cats hidden on the map and eliminate the zombies," reads the synopsis of the game.

"The game is designed in a zombie apocalypse style, but with a touch of humour.

"Due to contamination, an epidemic has broken out – zombies have taken over the entire military base and are wreaking havoc.”

The visuals of Hidden Cats vs Zombies 2 are hand-drawn, which, after watching its trailer and looking at its screenshots, is kinda obvious.

That being said, I think it all adds to the charm of this indie game.

At the time of writing, Hidden Cats vs Zombies 2 has a "Positive" rating from 18 Steam user reviews.

“Pleasantly surprised to see a sequel and a free one at that. If you tried the first game, then treat this as a DLC. Which is exactly what I had hoped for,” said another Steam user.
