Steam Makes Bizarre Game Free For Next 72 Hours

For fans of chickens, chess and breeding

Experiencing a game with a hard-hitting narrative is something that gamers will always seek out but sometimes, you just need to accept the madness of a truly bizarre title.

Well, that is definitely doable thanks to one Steam game which has been made free to download for the next 72 hours.

First released back in 2022, Broilers is a turn-based game that may look like a simple chess experience on the outside but players will soon discover that things are a lot more bizarre on the inside.

That is because it will be up to you, and your chess skills, to breed chickens.

Yep.

By using your chess know-how, you will be able to breed new species with unique characteristics in order to win the online challenge.

Developed by Bloxhill, Broilers is unlike anything you have ever played and although it can feature some complicated mechanics, you will have access to the Bropedia to teach you all you need to know about breeding chickens.

Become the master of hens as you study the chicken, breed the chicken and defend the chicken in tower-defence and turn-based combat.

If you are still confused, check out this description by the developers on Steam:

“In Broilers, however, players cannot directly control the pawns-the players cannot tell the pawns where to go or what to do.

You can say that in this game, you are under the control of creeps (units not controlled by the player), which is already very similar to the Tower-Defence genre, as well as there are almost literal TD elements, such as eggs, which can be placed on the field, which, although not shooting at the enemy, but can become an obstacle to him.”

Understand now?

No, me neither but hey, Broilers is free to download and play for yourself so you can make up your own mind on this bizarre experience.

With one positive review reading, “this game is so good,” and others being slightly more unhinged, it seems as though Broilers is definitely a game you need to check out for yourself.

Well luckily, you can do so for free for the next 72 hours so if you have an interest in chickens, chess and breeding, Broilers may be the one for you.
